Born into an Iranian family of scholars, French-bred Nahal Tajadod has a Ph.D. in Chinese. Member of the Iranian team at the CNRS in Paris (Centre National de Recherche Scientifique), she has spent her life studying the historical ties between Persia and China. She is the author of numerous essays, she also co-translator of Rumis poems
